Renewing Vehicle Registrations During the Pandemic – Until Further Notice (Stay Tuned)

A message from the Dublin Town Clerk/Tax Collector’s office:

We have been instructed by the town’s Health Officer to keep the doors to the Town Hall closed to the public at this time.  In order to keep residents safe in light of the situation with the COVID-19 pandemic, we are asking residents to renew your registrations by mail if possible. The NH Department of Motor Vehicles is waiting for further guidance from the Governor’s Office on how we will be proceeding with all types of registrations and they are asking us to please stand by for further guidance.  If your registration expires at the end of March, at this point you will need to do this as soon as possible in order to get your registration back in the mail before it expires.  For new transactions, the Governor has authorized us to extend all temporary plates issued after 3/1 until April 30, 2020.  You can do this by calling the town clerk’s office at 563-8859, Ext. 3 to get the correct amounts to write on your checks.  In order to find this information, we will ask you for the month of expiration, your name, and the year, make and model of each vehicle that you will be renewing.  Once you have the amounts, you can write your checks and send them along with:

1)       A copy of your old registration, or a piece of paper with the name of the first person (or company name) on the registration, and the year, make and model of the vehicle.

We will renew the registration and mail it to you by our next business day.  At this time, we expect to be available to answer you phone calls and emails from 9am to 4pm on Tuesday, from 9am to 5pm on Wednesday, and from 9am to 4pm on Thursday.

Please understand that we are in unchartered waters, and this situation is changing by the hour.  We will post updates as soon as they become available.

Sincerely,

Jeannine R. Dunne

Public Notice

In accordance with RSA 675:3 and 675:7, the Dublin Planning Board will hold a public hearing on proposed amendments to the Dublin Zoning Ordinance at 7:15 PM on Thursday, January 23, 2019 at the Dublin Town Hall. The proposed amendments include the following:

  1. Ordinance Changes Re Short Term Rentals

A new provision would allow property owners to apply for a conditional use permit from the Planning Board if they wish to rent residential property for under two weeks at a time and do not live on the premises. The proposed changes include new definitions, and delineation of a conditional use permit process which the Board would use in deciding upon an application.

  1. Wetland Ordinance

Two changes to the ordinance would make it consistent with itself.  Article IV.F will be repealed since it is covered in Article XIII and conflicts with XIII.D.4.  Article XIII, paragraph J will be repealed since it is superseded by paragraph F.4

The full text of the proposed amendments will be on file with the Dublin Town Clerk and will be made available for public inspection.
